TOO MUCH STRESS--especially stress that is not Relieved by Times of Rest and Renewal--can be harmful to us Physically, Mentally and Spiritually!
Having said that I cannot say that a Christian should be totally free from stress, however, I think that I can safely say that Christians should not allow themselves to become so stressed as to Produce Damage to their Bodies, Minds and Spirits!!!!!!!!!
Christians are caught up in the same rat race as everyone else. We have let our Values become Distorted and don't see life clearly from God's Perspective.
We've lost some of our Distinctiveness---our lives are almost Identical to those of people who are not Fully/Completely Committed to Christ.
We are Violating the very Basic Laws that God has set down for our Bodies (which is the Temple of the Holy Ghost).
It's time to Wake up to the Fact that we are Burning Ourselves Out just as quickly as everyone else is.
A Change is coming Rapidly and Hurriedly---Sickness is so Rampant in our Society that avoiding "STRESS DAMAGE" takes an extra effort!
It is a Sad Fact that Relatively few people---even Christians---are Willing to make that Extra Effort! "LET'S MAKE THAT EXTRA EFFORT TO LIVE A STRESS FREE LIFE"
As the song writer said: "I GAVE IT OVER TO THE LORD AND HE WORKED IT OUT."

"REAL HUSBANDS"
Many of men are extremely gifted at being "Inconsiderate." We fail to see the Deep Hurts and Intense Fears of our Wives.
We are Notoriously Insensitive--and the people we live with have the Scars to Prove it. It seems to be a Characteristic of the Male Ego.
Peter is telling us because women are co-heirs with men of "the precious gift of life," they are equally citizens of the Kingdom of Heaven!
"WHAT DO REAL HUSBANDS DO?" ----If husbands "Faithfully followed" the precept in (Lu. 6:31) in relating to Their Wives, the Married Women in our world would think that they were on the Threshold of Heaven, if not half was thru the door!
Men---let's Become "REAL HUSBANDS."

"Realization"
Finally realized just what I want.
I want a Woman who will not only fight with me but will Fight For Me.
A Woman that will "GO TO WAR WITH ME" and if Necessary drag Me and Our Family Out Alive.
A Woman who can see the Good In Me when I can't even see it in Myself.
A Woman that I can Give my Whole Heart to "Totally".... knowing that She Will Guard it with Her Life.
A Woman that I can Place The World at Her Feet and say "Sweetheart This Is My Gift To You"
A Woman who is Secure in Knowing that I'm Her Man and Her's Alone.

"Meditate" on this one question: At this Stage in Your Life, "WHAT IS IT THAT WILL SATISFY THE LONGING OF YOUR HEART AND BE PLEASING TO GOD?"

You've seen the Prisoners. You've seen the Alcoholic who "won't admit" his drinking problem. You've seen the Woman who "refuses" to talk to anyone about her "fears."
You've seen the "Business Man" who adamantly "rejects" help, even when his Dreams are Falling Apart!
Perhaps to see such a Prisoner "ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS LOOK INTO YOUR MIRIOR."
{1John 1:9} "if we Confess our sins, he is "Faithful and Just". The BIGGEST word in Scripture just might be that two-letter word, "IF"......!
Understand this: Confessing Sins---Admitting Failure----is exactly what "PRISONERS OF PRIDE REFUSE TO DO".......!

Open Your Spititual Eyes
In your life there are obnoxious people; there are mean people, folks who demand a lot of your time and attention; complainers; problem people.
Honestly, there are people, who for one reason or another, you'd just like to close the door on like almost everyone else has.
And frankly speaking, you will unless you see them through the eyes of Jesus. Then you'll see the need behind the deeds, like a mother who looks past a baby's crying to find out where it hurts.

Your positive actions are actually cancelled out by the stinky atmosphere you bring - the stress, the insensitivity, and the criticism you create while you're doing all those good things.
You can be doing great stuff and have a Lousy Attitude and drag people down. What people are supposed to experience by being around you is "the fragrance of the knowledge of Jesus."

Why Does Life Seem So Unfair?
Psalm 73: 3-5 (niv) "For I envied the arrogant when I saw the prosperity of the wicked.
4) They have no struggles, their bodies are healthy and strong.
5) They are free from the burdens common to man; they are not plagued by human ills.
Because we see only one part of the picture it appears to us that Success often has Nothing to do with Godliness!
Those folk who Ignore or even Hate God often have more Wealth and Power than those who love God!!! Many Saints suffer while non-professing christians seem relatively Unaffected by Life's Difficulities...
David struggled with such feelings. He saw Arrogant, Violent individuals who lived in Ease and Prosperity (ref vs.3-12)...What he saw even caused him to question the Validity of his own faith (ref vs. 2).
David felt cheated, WHY TRY TO LIVE RIGHT....? It never seem to pay off in Tangible Ways (ref vs. 13)....When David finally sat down to write, he wrote about HOW HIS ATTITUDE HAD CHANGED!
What was it that caused David to check himself??? What will it take for You to put Self in Check??? David began to look at life from a Spiritual Point of View rather than from a Worldly Point (ref vs. 17).
Life always seem Unfair when we Measure it by Earthly Standards of Health, Wealth and Power.
When we Encounter God in a Personal, Intimate Way---just as David did in the Sanctuary--- then and only then can we gain a Heavenly Perpective!!!
We need to look at the Other Side of the Picture---and see that the Rewards of this Life are Temporary, and as a matter of fact they can even HINDER US FROM DISCOVERING WHAT IS REALLY IMPORTANT!!!!!

Is Favoritism A Good Idea???
Gen. 43: 34 - (niv) "When portions were served to them from Joseph's table, Benjamin's portion was five times as much as anyone else's.
Joseph showed FAVORITISM by sending extra food to his brother Benjamin. In that day and time sending Choice Food to an honored guest was Common Practice in their culture. This was especially true of Favoritism shown by, or to, those in Powerful positions.
Ja. 2: 1-9 Admonishes us not to show Favotitism. we know that many of Joseph's problems came from the Favoritism that his Father had shown him (ref ch.37). However, the Genesis text does not seem to Focus On The Problem Of Showing Favoritism, but instead upon The Problem Of How We Respond When Favoritism Is Shown.
Whether or not Joseph and Jacob was out of line showing Favoritism is not the question! The question in these two stories is: HOW DO WE RESPOND TO FAVORITISM? In chapter 43, the Issue is whether they can Stand to have another brother Favored???
Would they Reject him as they had Joseph? Or COULD THEY RISE ABOVE HURT FEELINGS and REJOICE WITH THOSE WHO REJOICE! (Romans 12:15)?
